Your student fees include the cost of your UVM tuition, accommodation, on campus meal plan, insurance, and university fees. Transfers from Burlington International Airport (BTV) can also be added at an additional cost.

As a Global Gateway Program applicant, you are automatically considered for a partial student scholarship when you apply to UVM. Scholarships are based on your academic grades and supporting documents - you don’t need to fill in a separate application form.
Successful scholarship students can receive up to $10,000 off their fees. This amount is deducted from Year 1 of your tuition fees.
Students in the Global Gateway Program who receive the initial partial scholarship are eligible to renew their scholarship annually after progressing to their chosen degree. After successful completion of the Global Gateway Program, international student scholarships are awarded for a maximum of eight semesters.
Students must successfully complete the GGP with a 3.0 GPA to be eligible to renew their scholarship at up to $10,000 annually. Students must also maintain a 3.0 GPA to remain eligible for continued partial scholarship.
University of Vermont merit scholarships are available to all new international student applicants who apply for direct entry to a bachelor's degree. No separate applications are required for these merit scholarships.
The merit scholarships available include:
Students who are successfully admitted for direct entry are selected for these scholarships based on their academic achievements. Those selected will receive one scholarship. Each scholarship is awarded at four years (eight semesters) at the indicated amount.
Students are required to maintain a minimum cumulative 2.8 grade point average in your first year, and a 3.0 in subsequent years along with enrollment in 12 or more credits per semester to remain eligible.
Once you have received an offer of a place at UVM, you are required to pay a deposit to release your I-20 immigration document. This is subtracted from your invoiced tuition fee. Deposits cost between $2,000 and $6,000, depending on your country of residence. The deposit is held to cover damages and any other incidental expenses. Any monies left at the end of your course will be returned to you.
Please pay your deposit as early as possible. We provide a full refund if you do not meet the visa entry requirements.
The full balance of tuition fees can be paid before the start date of your GGP or PMP course. For each UVM term, payments are due on or before these start dates:
It is important to meet all your payment deadlines. If you miss a deadline, you will be charged 2% of the invoiced amount (for credit card payments) or $500 for balances that are overdue by 30 days or more.
